"The Man Who Can't Be Moved" is a pop ballad, the second single from Irish band The script from their album The script The Script is an Irish pop rock band formed in 2001. The song was released on 25 July 2008.during its fourth season. This song served as their radio promotional single in the United States, gaining airplay on multiple radio stations.This song has been covered by the a cappella group Straight No Chasher.
I think the thing about him standing on the corner is kind of symbolic. I don't see him literally standing on the street corner. I see it as him not wanting to move on, still hoping she'll come back, still remaining where he was in life in case she comes back. 
The part about "people hand me money they don't understand" isn't literally about someone giving him money like a homeless person. I think it means people try to engage him in life but he can't change yet. 
Like when people break up and say "move on"-- he's not moving on. He's just going to wait.
